While we were pretty bummed that Greg Pak’s run on Astonishing X-Men was short-lived, Marvel made good today by revealing that Pak would be returning to the X-world in an all-new series, dubbed X-Treme X-Men, launching in July.

X-Treme will spin off from Pak’s Astonishing run, following the alte…

DC’s announcement of Before Watchmen earlier this year sparked a whole mess of controversy and excitement from the comic book community, but with the first books being solicited for June and the convention season under way, it’s time for the creators involved to open up a bit.

We got a chance to speak with J. Michael Straczynski about his involvement in the project, where he’ll be tackling two of the most high-profile characters in their own mini-series: Dr. Manhattan and Nite Owl…

Len Wein might be best known for creating Swamp Thing, but he also served as the editor on the original Watchmen series. With Before Watchmen, Wein is returning to that world with his Ozymandias mini-series, along with artist Jae Lee, and the Crimson Corsair back-up feature with John Higgins.

We caught up with Wein to talk about what fans should expect from DC’s upcoming event…

The Avengers Academy isn’t exempt from the events of Avengers vs. X-Men, it seems. Marvel revealed that Avengers Academy #31 and #32 will find Sebastian Shaw at the doors of the Academy… and have the kids switched sides in the battle?

Written by Christos Gage with art from Tom Grummett and Timothy Green II, the AvX tie-in in AA will surely be shaking up the team quite a bit. You can check out the covers below…

PODCASTBANNER.jpg

We’ve got a big cast with us today! Yes, we’ve finally managed to get both Deux and Lube back into the same podcast again, which means we have a lot of nonsensical arguing from those two. A nice group to feed off of each other today. I hope you enjoy!

The following information comes from Kingdom Hearts series director, Tetsuya Nomura…

“If I had to say who the key persons were, I’d say they are the silver haired boy and Axel. This time at the end of the story, there will be the longest cutscene of the whole series where the true form of Ansem and Xemnas, as well as their goals and many other truths will be revealed all at once. At first, I initially wanted to develop another form of the command board from Birth by Sleep. Then I mixed the growth systems of Re:Coded and 358/2 Days and came up with a new idea that became the Ability Link feature.”

I’m more hyped for this Kingdom Hearts than I have been for any other title since II. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one!
