PODCASTBANNER.jpg

We have Nicky Hill back for this round, which means we have a regular music section! I also remember liking this show and having fun…but I have no idea why. Hopefully that comes across while you’re listening!

This is actually a picture of my Dad from a million years ago. With Poopaloop gone, I thought I’d post this pic and see how you could alter it! I cannot wait to see what you come up with!

Download the show here

Bonus! We have two extra features for you guys! First up, a tally of our music wins/losses. You can check that out right here (thanks Nathaniel!) We also have a nice podcast sampling, strung together from various shows. That comes from our friend NintenDaan!

“Each week Nintendo makes available a mix of Nintendo eShop, Virtual Console, WiiWare and Nintendo DSiWare games. Combined, these services currently provide gamers with hundreds of fun and interesting downloadable games to choose from. There is no preset schedule as to how many games will become available in a given week, but many more are on the way via all of these digital-delivery systems.” – Nintendo statement

I agree that there’s other content out there, but right now we’re not getting the most exciting eShop titles. There are definitely more on the way, but you would think that right now would be a perfect time for some VC titles.

Modern Warfare 3‘s upcoming Face Off mode isn’t set hit to Xbox 360-enabled living rooms until next Wednesday, May 16, but it’s never too soon to start using promotional materials (like the behind the scenes video above and screenshots below) to start memorizing map layouts. This is war, dammit, and you need every possible advantage you can get to survive. Don’t come crawling back to us when you’ve been blasted to the bottom of the leaderboards, riddled with shame bullets from the hand cannons of someone who actually took the time to prepare.

… Watching the video because you enjoy development diaries and/or have a casual interest in Modern Warfare games is also acceptable.

According to Sega's blog, you can now grab a number of Sonic soundtracks from iTunes. Along with a few compilations, you can also grab the soundtracks from Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Heroes, Sonic CD, and Sonic Colors.

Many seem to have fond memories of Sonic Boom from Sega CD. I certainly have memories of the Sonic Heroes theme, after having it ingrained in my brain from the friendly GameCube demo that looped the intro from my retail days, but it would be a stretch to call those memories fond.

Thanks to Garrett for the news tip!

A free content update/patch is headed to Uncharted 3 sometime before the end of this month, bringing with it new multiplayer modes and the promise of a better tomorrow. Well, the promise of more updates in the future, at any rate.

In addition to an Advanced Settings menu and various other gameplay tweaks, Patch 1.11 reintroduces two features from Uncharted 2‘s multiplayer functionality: The Lab and Elimination Mode. The Lab, which is more of a playlist than a gameplay mode itself, contains unique variants of other multiplayer modes. It’s set to launch with a T-bolt/Pistole-only version of Team Deathmatch, with “other game types” to be added “as the year progresses,” according to Naughty Dog’s patch notes.

Elimination Mode splits players into two teams of five, with the obvious goal being to eliminate the opposing team. Unlike Team Deathmatch, however, players do not respawn during Elimination Mode matches – victory is claimed once one team has been fulled killed three out of five times.
